Confirmation

Confirmation marks the point in our Christian journey when we affirm for ourselves the faith into which we were baptised as children. In confirmation God assures us of His love and empowers us by the Holy Spirit to do His will, as we answer Jesus’ call to discipleship and promise to follow Him for the rest of our lives.

This affirmation is confirmed through prayer and the laying on of hands by the bishop.

Confirmation is also the step the Church asks us to take in order to become full members and before taking bread and wine in communion.

An annual service of Confirmation takes place in the Deanery towards the end of each year. Those wishing to be confirmed will be required to attend  the Christianity Explored Course

If you are interested in being confirmed please speak to Rev Rob Powell.
