Furzedown Youth Centre (FYC)

The Furzedown Youth Centre (FYC) is a charity run by the Furzedown Churches.

It runs a Friday night youth club with trips and activities for young people aged 11-16 from the local communities of Furzedown, Tooting and Streatham.

It employs a part-time youth worker and session worker, and runs with the help of a team of volunteers from the Furzedown Churches and the local community. All staff and volunteers at FYC undergo a DBS security check.

The youth club meets in a purpose-built youth centre in the basement of St. James Community Hall on Welham Road.

Activities include table-tennis, snooker and table football; XBOX; organised group games; crafts; baking; and chilling out on the comfy sofas with drinks and snacks from the café bar.

Young people also have the opportunity to attend organised trips and residential activity weeks.
