Romania Mission Trip

A group of young people from the Furzedown Churches Youth Ministry travelled to Romania on a Mission Trip during August 2017 to help run children's activities for disadvantaged families across Targu Mures.

A small team from West Side Church in Wandsworth also accompanied the group.

The trip was lead by Youth Minister Sam Talbot with Lauren Talbot and Rev Rob Powell.

The group stayed in Bed and Breakfast accommodation and worked alongside Christian Ministry 'Impact Romania'  to help run activities such as Bible stories, sports, crafts, drama, and games in a number of Roma communities.

On their return on the first Sunday in September the young people shared with the churches the impact that this trip had made on their lives at an evening service dedicated to the mission trip.

Their testimonies were very moving and it is hoped that the Youth Ministry will repeat the trip in the future.

The young people worked hard to raise over £8000 to fund the Mission trip and were able to leave a gift of £500 to pay for three months supply of water for the neediest community they visited who had no running water.
