Youth Club (FYC)

Unfortunately our youth activities are currently suspended due to coronavirus social distancing measures. We apologise for the inconvenience and hope to be up and running again soon.

The Furzedown Youth Centre (FYC) Team run a weekly Drop-In and Youth Club for young people aged 11-18.  These take place on Friday evenings in term time in the lower floor of St. James Community Hall on Welham Road.

After-School Drop-In

On Fridays the Youth Centre is open from 3.00pm to 5.00pm as a safe space for young people to drop in and hang out after school. All young people in Secondary School are welcome to come along. Drop-In sessions are free and hot chocolate and cold drinks are on offer.

Youth Club

The Youth Club takes place from 6.00pm to 8.00pm and activities include table-tennis, snooker, table football and XBOX as well as organised games which sometimes take place in the Mitcham Lane Baptist Church Hall opposite. Crafts, baking, drama, street dance, candy-floss making and other activities are also sometimes on offer. Alternatively, you can just chill out, listen to music and chat on our comfy sofas with drinks and snacks from the café bar. There are also occasional organised trips and a yearly residential activity week.

The cost is just 50p per session and the first taster session is free. Please take a look at the photos and video below:
