The first recorded wedding at St James was on 30th March 1907 between Francis Ernest Jones (age 21) and Florence Emily Sedgwick (age 22). They were married by "Rev H.W. Fox, Vicar", believed to be the incumbent at Immanuel & St Andrew's Church, Streatham.
 

First Baptism

The first recorded baptism at St James was on Sunday 30th July, 1905.
 

Highest Number of Weddings in one year

In 1941, 60 weddings were conducted at St James. This included 3 weddings conducted on Christmas Day!
